Are You Hard of Hearing?
If you are, would you be interested in joining a group of very friendly people who are hard of hearing and meet together on the first Wednesday of each month in the Community (Front) Hall, from 2pm until 3.30pm? Do you perhaps know someone who might like to join us? We have about 20 members with varying degrees of deafness and would like to invite any one who is interested to come along and join us.

We have several talks and demonstrations planned for the year- all with a visual emphasis- including a “hands on” talk about “Collectables” and a Magic Show. In between these meetings, we have our “Club Afternoons”, when the members, who have a good understanding of one another’s problems in a hearing world, meet together over a cup of tea for a chat, play games - whist, scrabble etc - and generally enjoy an afternoon among friends. We also have several outings during the year, for cream teas, or pub lunches, which the members very much enjoy.

The brand new sounds system in the Hall where we meet will be wonderful and make communication a lot easier for us all. We are also able to dispense batteries for NHS hearing aids.

Anyone interested in joining our Club or wishing for more information, please telephone Jenny Brandon (above)or just come along to a meeting.

We would love to meet you and you can be assured of a very warm welcome.
